Whew

Well, this day has been psychologically exhausting for me. I believe I have helped build back up DS#2's confidence so that he isn't quite so shattered. He was VERY upset when I first broke the news but we talked about it quite a while and I took him out to eat (along with a milkshake) and then made a trip with him to the game store (Boardgames, Role-Playing Games, card games, and the like).

He is still upset but calmed down now and ready to play for his team next fall. His initial reaction was even worse than I expected, but that finally passed. He wasn't able to go to guitar lessons today though, he was still too upset at that time.
